“I fulfilled a long-held dream of earning an MFA in Painting in May 2016, then began teaching high school and middle school art at a charter school for the visual and performing arts in August 2016. I found Art Prof while searching for challenging art lessons for my students.
This was my first experience doing a Draw Along, and I was inspired by Prof Lieu’s commentary and observations while she drew. I also learned some new tricks and tips. I had also never really thought of drawing feet in-depth before, so it was a new experience.”
“I am a freelance artist from Germany. I prefer to work figuratively and for several years mainly portraits.
Live drawing with Art Prof Draw along gives me the opportunity to be part of a global community and to work with people from all over the world on the same topic or motif at the same time.”
“In my eyes, feet are one of the ugliest parts of the human figure, exactly why I wanted to draw my feet! Sometimes, giving up on making something looking good visually is the first step towards innovation and local ideas.
Feet are such engaging structures because they are primarily bone, so therefore, the structure have to be really solid and prominent. The skin on feet moves in all kinds of directions as well, which I tried to preserve.
