“Before & After” YouTube Live Submission Form

Show us what you learned from a critique you got from us!

Submit your art to be considered for a shout out during one of our YouTube videos.  We feature artists who received a from use either on YouTube or in our Discord sever who either 1) created a new artwork afterwards in response to the critique or 2) continued working on the artwork that was in the first art critique.

In the YouTube shout out, we’ll show a slide of your artworks that is labeled with your name and link, and read out loud your written statement about your experience creating the artwork. We will list your name, link, and your written statement in the video description as well.

Submission of plagiarized artworks will not be tolerated.

All artwork submitted must be original. If we discover at any point that your artwork was plagiarized, your submission will be disqualified and you will no longer be eligible to participate in any Art Prof video content in the future. Plagiarism is a serious offense and we do not take it lightly. For more information on plagiarism, copyright, and art ethics, please watch the videos in this playlist.

Writing your statement

We recommend writing your statement elsewhere first so that you have a copy of it saved in case anything happens while you are filling out this form.

Please answer these questions in your statement.

1. What is your background as an artist? Had you ever had your artwork critiqued before we looked at your artwork?

2. Explain what you learned from your critique.

3. What changes did you make in your thinking process after the critique?

4. What changes did you make in your use of your art materials after your critique?

5. Anything else you'd like us to know about you or your artwork.

Please format your statement as a narrative statement that is written in first person.  If you type short answers to our questions into the text area without formatting it as a narrative statement, your submission will not be accepted.

Please use the checkbox below to indicate that you have read our Terms and Conditions.

Before clicking "submit," please read below on how to confirm that your submission form was received, and about our notification process.

After you click “submit,” this page will refresh. Look for the green bar that says “your post was successfully submitted!” that will appear below the video at the top of the page.  See the image below for what that green bar will look like, the red arrow points at the green bar in this image.

You’ll receive an email from us about whether your submission was accepted.  Please be patient as we receive many items every day, and cannot always reply as quickly as we would like to. If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks, please email Prof Lieu.
