Artist Statement
“I’m a recent college graduate who has just joined the office workforce. At 7pm after work I sometimes go to art classes to empty my head and keep the soul nourished. This painting was based of a photograph I took from my office’s window during my first month of work, a meditation on this transitional and volatile period of my life.
I am usually a smooth and delicate painter, but I really had tried to push myself to paint big with this piece, employing an impressionistic style inspired by the likes of Monet.”
