Artist Statement
“Throughout my life, art has always been an outlet, a way of helping to process things, as well as document events. For the most part, people fascinate me, their behavior, their expressions, how they appear. I began experimenting with oils around 11 years ago having been quite intimidated by them up to that point.
I focused primarily on portraits but have wanted to expand to situations that involve figures interacting with each other in various settings. Most of the paintings I have been doing this past year are of my children who I never get tired of watching. They have become a part of my visual diary.”
