“I am a senior in high school living in Canada. For my entire life I have always enjoyed the arts in all forms, however I hadn’t considered art school up until my junior year. These past few years I fell in love with painting and more recently, animation. I would have my art displayed at farmers markets, the city hall, and enjoyed submitting my art into competitions.
After much thought, I decided pursue my passion for art even further and began my application process for university. Currently I am interested in 2D animation where I can challenge myself as an artist and grow creatively in many directions.
For my art portfolio, I attempted to include a variety of mediums. I explored different methods and learned more about myself as an artist and what interests me the most. (animations, nature, people) At the same time, I’m unsure about my presentation. Are my photos professional enough? Is there anything that particularity weakens my submission? As someone who is heading towards animation, is there something I should specifically improve more on?”
