Artist Statement
“I’m a 21 year old artist currently in my second semester in undergraduate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I mostly work in Illustration and the concentration of this piece was to highlight the fraudulent commercial trade of honey between the United States and China. I made this illustration sort of as an oxymoron of honey making by depicting bees as assembly workers in a honey producing factory.”

Frank Miller‘s Sin City, Barry Moser, Pietro Perugino‘s fresco The Delivery of the Keys to Saint Peter, Aubrey Beardsley, Giovanni Battista Piranesi‘s suite of etchings The Prisons, Sue Coe.
