An Emerging Artist column can be about any topic related to visual arts. We are looking for written columns that speak from your own experience as an artist. We like columns that provide personal stories, that are written in a conversational tone, and that address relevant topics for artists today. Columns should be written in first person, with a maximum of 1000 words. We accept submissions continuously, there are no deadlines!
Selected students will be required to sign a release form so that we have permission to feature you on our site. Please be aware that if you under 18 years old, your parents will need to sign the release form as well. The release form is sent in an email via Docusign, and requires a digital signature. If you are 18 years or older, only you need to sign the release form.
If your column proposal is accepted, you will be required to provide 5-8 casual photos of yourself and 5-8 photos of your artwork.
If we are interested in your column proposal, we will email you! Questions? Contact us.
