Critiques
Annie Irwin, Teaching Assistant
Critique is the time when a lot of artists get into one room, sit around, and start talking about each other’s work. Needless to say, it is always very interesting, eye opening, and sometimes, hilarious.
I’ve seen pieces that have super heroes fighting action figures. I have seen pieces that have dishwashers up to the sky. I have seen pieces of a Lego bridge, that exists in a Neverland. You never know what you’re going to get at art school.
Luckily, here, you get to do voluntary crit. And that means, that you get to upload your work, do a drawing, show us, and get some feedback. This feedback is really important as an artist and allows you to kind of improve your work one piece at a time. The more you critique, the better your work will become, and the better you’ll become as an artist.
