Writing artist statements, project proposals for grant & residency applications, resumes, and cover letters are all necessities for artists.

Whether you are applying for an MFA or BFA program, preparing an artist statement for an exhibition, applying for an animation job, these written docs are essential towards realizing your goals as an artist.
Statements are challenging!
- Many artists dread writing these statements, we all got into this field to make visual statements, not written ones!
- Not only do many artists struggle to articulate themselves verbally, writing truly is a skill that takes experience and training to do well.
- On top of that, it’s often unclear exactly what to include in a statement. A lot of program applications have little or vague directions of what to write about.
