“I’m an artist from Scotland hoping to attend art school next September. I’m currently studying advanced higher art in high school so a good few of my portrait pieces are from my folio for that and a few portraits are from prior exam folios.

The main themes I explore in my work are disconnection from reality, poverty and politics. I like to use the human figure, faces and natural imagery to explore these themes and I enjoy using a wide range of media.
I’m applying to the general foundation course at the University of Dundee, painting and printmaking and communication design at Glasgow School of Art and painting at Robert Gordon University.
I’d like to be a high school art teacher once I leave university and I’d love to start up a foundation similar to the social mobility foundation for students who are disadvantaged due to circumstances they can’t control but are hoping to pursue a career in art or go and study art in higher education.”
