You’ll find resources and information art supplies for this workshop here.
Some people like to brush up on your skills and prep in advance of the live session. This is optional, you can show up to the live session without looking at these resources.

There is an *asterix near resources that I think are the most helpful.
For supplies, you can use anything you want! We provide options if you need them.

Drawing tools
- Dry drawing media in a stick form, where you can draw with the tip and side of the stick works well.
- Examples: charcoal, crayon, (peel the paper off) conte crayon.

- We recommend not using pencils or pens, the sharp tips makes the draiwng process slow and challenging to be gestural.
- For digital media, we recommend choosing wide brushes that can change widths by changing the physical pressure with your pen.

- Water based drawing media like ink wash and liquid charcoal are fast and will inherently create fluidity in your drawings.
- Markers which allow for a range of widths are great, brush pens are ideal.

Paper
- Drawing very small figures can actually be tougher than drawing larger.
- We recommend drawing figures that are a minimum 9” tall.

- 18” x 24” is a good size if you have the space and want to try something more ambitious.
- Don’t draw your figures so they overlap, we can see each figure separate.
- High quality paper isn’t necessary, cheap paper like newsprint is fine.
