“Upon discovering that the theme of the December would be on memes, I was excited to participate in another Art Dare. Memes have always brought me much comfort, humor, and opportunities to connect with and relate to others.
I sometimes make my own memes to share with friends, but to create memes especially about my artist journey (AKA artist fails) was in and of itself an adventure and a half.”

“I love fun memes, and so I was really eager to try creating one based on a classic artwork. After looking through various famous pieces, I decided to do a take off on Roy Lichtenstein’s painting, Masterpiece, because its comics style struck me as a great basis for a meme.
I then thought of doing a contemporary spin on this work my making a commentary on the hotly debated issue of NFT art – in particular, Beeple’s (aka Mike Winkelmann’s) groundbreaking sale of his NFT digital collage for $69 million at Christie’s.”
